Sue Fleming Sports Award

Life Stream is honouring the late Sue Fleming for her outstanding commitment and dedication to inclusion in sport by presenting an annual award to an elite athlete with an intellectual disability. 

The award will go to an individual from Queensland who has demonstrated outstanding performance in their chosen sport and who represents great sportsmanship qualities.  

All AUSRAPID members are eligible for the award however nominations are only accepted from State Sport Organisations and Sports Coaches.

The 2011 Sue Fleming Sports Award has been allocated to Kayla Clarke, nominated by Swimming Queensland. Kayla has won  

•  Prize money of $1000!  This prize money is to put towards Kayla's swimming related expenses in 2012.

• A Perpetual Trophy to be held by Swimming Queensland and returned to Life Stream at the end of 2012.

• A Trophy for Kayla to keep.
